UofT’s SDG Thought Leaders, Affiliates and Fellows!  
Join us for an engaging Design Thinking training where we’ll apply design mindsets and methods to relevant challenges in sustainable development. This session will draw on disciplines such as systems thinking, foresight, and anthropology.  
Design Thinking is a creative problem-solving approach that helps researchers/teams: 
- centre the desires and goals of people who will be impacted by research 
- collaborate with diverse stakeholders in knowledge and solution creation 
- expand thinking and see data differently through visual mapping and hands-on methods 
- mobilize and share knowledge in an impactful and accessible way

About the trainers: 
The training will be conducted by co-being – design mentoring. They help teams embed design approaches in their work by using co-design and collaboration. Our two Design Leaders/Facilitators are Nadine Hare and Tieni Meninato. Nadine is a Design Anthropologist who teaches human-centered design and design ethnography at OCAD University and Anthropology at the University of Toronto. Tieni is a Designer and Design Coordinator of the Pluriversal Futures Lab at Cornell U and Innovation Fellow at Women College Hospital.
