William Lim

Assistant Director, Strategic Partnerships at the School of Cities Urban Data Centre

William Lim is a new urban technology professional focusing on the design, build and implementation of digital technologies to fulfill a vision of smart cities and intelligent communities. Mr. Lim is actively involved in Toronto’s emerging urban technology sector and has conducted a case study analysis of Sidewalk Labs’ Quayside Project for the Management of Smart Urban Infrastructures Innovative Governance of Large Urban Systems (IGLUS) Program at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. He was a member of the Community Advisory Group for City of Toronto’s Digital Infrastructure Plan. 

Mr. Lim was Director of Business and Service Development, Asia Pacific for AT&T Global where he was responsible for the implementation and deployment of next-generation video technology platform and services to the Media and Entertainment industry. Prior to that he was Associate Director, Bell TV, where he was responsible for new product development and introduction of Bell TV’s IPTV and OTT video streaming services.
