Timothy Burkhart

Assistant Professor of Kinesiology and Physical Education

Dr. Burkhart's research focus is in injury and orthopaedic biomechanics with an interest in soft tissue reconstruction of the knee (e.g., ACL and ALL), prevention and mitigation of osteoarthritis, total hip and knee joint arthroplasty, traumatic fractures (e.g., wrist and elbow), and spine surgery. He collaborates with a number of orthopaedic surgeons and uses in vivo, computational, imaging, and large animal research methods in attempt to improve prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of orthopaedic conditions.
