Dr. Notisha Massaquoi is an Assistant Professor in Health Education and Promotion at UTSC, with a cross-appointment to FIFSW. She holds a BA in Psychology, an MSW from FIFSW, and a PhD from OISE. Her research examines violence as a determinant of health in Black communities, focusing on health services for survivors of homicide victims in Canada. Dr. Massaquoi employs mixed methods to address anti-Black racism and health disparities, highlighting Black communities' experiences with institutional systems in Canada.
