Kishana is an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto Scarborough, majoring in Health Studies (Population Health Stream) with minors in Biology and Applied Statistics. Her passion lies in public health research and epidemiology, where she hopes to contribute to vital knowledge areas that advance the health and well-being of individuals. As a current co-op research assistant at the ReSTORE lab, working under the supervision of Principal Investigator Dr. Behdin Nowrouzi-Kia, Kishana aims to leverage her research experiences to improve mental and physical well-being in the workplace. At the ReSTORE lab, she is a trainee on a project funded by UofT@SDGs, which seeks to enhance the recruitment and retention of equity-deserving groups in the skilled trades. In this role, she will be actively involved in data collection and analysis. Kishana is dedicated to strengthening her knowledge in population health and is committed to addressing topics concerning the SDGs through her research endeavors.
