Joshua Lim

Ph.D. Student

Joshua Lim is a Ph.D. student in the Curriculum and Pedagogy program with a specialization in Comparative, International, and Development Education at OISE. He holds an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Pedagogy and an M.A. in Child Study and Education from OISE. His research focuses on alternative education for impoverished, Indigenous, and incarcerated children in Bolivia. Since he was young, he has been visiting Bolivian prisons to help provide food and medicine to inmates and their children. Throughout his studies, he has volunteered with several education NGOs. Professionally, he has worked as a teacher in the TDSB and as an Education & Museum Associate with the Asia Pacific Peace Museum. He also serves as an Officer in the Canadian Army and has deployed overseas.
