Harshit is a Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science with a Collaborative Specialization in Environment and Health. His work examines how greener technologies can improve public health and aims to inform policymakers in creating equitable environmental regulations for addressing climate change and air pollution. He is also engaged in research on the mitigation of technology's rebound effects—or unintended effects—and contributes to their mitigation in residential buildings, data centers, and machine learning infrastructure. At U of T, his roles as a Climate Positive Energy Fellow, a Data Science Institute Fellow, and a Wolfond Fellow have enabled him to build strategic partnerships across academia, industry, and policymaking.
