Dr. Laura C. Rosella is a Full Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University ofToronto, where she holds a Canada Research Chair in Population Health Analytics and established the Population Health Analytics Laboratory, the first of its kind in Canada. The lab is focused on the sustainability and equity of the health system and improving health and wellbeing in populations. She is a member of the Royal Society of Canada’s (RSC) College of New Scholars and the Editor-in-Chief for the Canadian Journal of Public Health. Her research focuses on developing new ways to use data to improve population wellbeing and directly aligns with SDGs 3, 10 and 11, promoting good health and wellbeing, reducing inequities, and creating inclusive and flourishing communities. She specifically focuses on aspects related to community belonging and subjective wellbeing and, using linked data sources, demonstrates how this impacts important population health and health system outcomes. Dr. Rosella directly engages with municipal and government decision-makers and community partners. She has authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications and was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.
