Akhil Kumar

Akhil is a dynamic researcher and leader with a strong focus on economics. Currently, he serves as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto, Department of Economics, and has previous experience as a Research Intern at Harvard University's Geographic Insights Lab. Akhil's research has made significant contributions, including 11 peer-reviewed publications and over 210 citations, with projects spanning US economic history, political economy, and COVID-19 impact analysis. He is pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) with a major in Economics and minors in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Toronto. Beyond academia, Akhil has demonstrated leadership as Co-President of EcoClub and VP of Operations at Erevna, showcasing his ability to drive impactful initiatives and manage diverse teams.
